Another up side, my cd/mp3 players don't even need to be on half volume to be heard loud and clear, and by the time the volume is high enough to seep out, it's way too loud. I've had several different brands and styles of headphones in my life so far [I'm 26 now]. Of all these, this is the pair I will inevitably return to. A trick I use for further stability is to wear a hat over the strap, They are a flexible plastic that won't just break or give you a headache to do that. My cat LOVES the rubbery wires, if left out I will, and have on 3 very frustrating occasions, come in to find them chewed to bits. I've always found ear buds deliver the best sound, but HATE ear buds cause they just won't STAY in my ear.
So why do I ever own different ones. I've used ear buds, Ipod style, Clip on, and even the big professional cushy ear piece style. These are SO cheap but SO much more effective then even the most expensive headphones I've ever owned. I like the strap over your head kind, but they don't give as good sound, as well as being really noisy to those around you, which is one of my main concerns with headphones, how load they must be before the sound starts seeping out to be heard by others nearby. With these I get the best of 2 worlds, ear bud sound quality, but with a strap to hold them in place. I'm pretty sure Sony is trying to phase out this quality style for whatever reason, so they're hard to find in stores amongst the gimmicky skull candy stuff out now and I have ONE big problem with these that probably won't apply to you so don't worry.
I plan to buy a few pairs of these here on amazon and HIDE them when not in use, I can't bear to lose my favorite headphones.again.
I love these ear phones. Really durable and great quality - super light and flexible too. The price is fantastic.
The last pair I bought was 10 years ago and I took them with me everywhere, travelling, in my hand bag, on the train, plane, you name it.They are just AWESOME for physical exercise. I purchased 3 of these as they no longer offer them in my country so shipped them all the way home. I can't say enough good stuff about them.
A comparable pair cost 10 times more. Some earphones pull out of your ears when you run with them, these ones don't budge. They're just great, and the quality is awesome.
Can definitely recommend these if you want to do physical exercise or just wear them with you when travelling or at work. Thank you Sony.
If you are about 5'9 or above, I would definitely recommend passing on these. These headphones have okay sound quality, but two things definitely would make me recommend to everyone not to buy. Second, was that the right ear stopped working after about 3 weeks. First, the length of the wire from where you plug into your mp3 player, to your head is very short. I am 5'9 and couldn't put it in my pocket and run because it would just rip out of the headphone jack. It now just cuts in with static every now and again, which is very annoying. So in the end, length and quality are major issues, and I would definitely not buy again.
Yes, these headphones are about $10. 1. 2. After 6 months, one of the ears will go out. I know I learned my lesson. Listening to music and TV through one ear is very annoying, as I am sure many of you will confirm. Yes, they work good enough to listen to tunes or TV while you workout.However, these headphone will only last you for about 6 months. I am a cheap mofo.
I have gone though about half a dozen of these same headphones in my lifetime and all of them have ended up in a landfill. Why did I go through half a dozen of these headphones you ask. I trusted you Sony.Do your wallet and the Earth a favor and spend a little extra money for good quality headphones which will last you for years to come. the hard way.On a side note, the chord on these headphones are little short, so plugging them to the TV on a treadmill at a gym creates a little discomfort that you will get used to.
These are perfect for the gym. I usually buy 2 or 3 at a time and have them stashed at various places (gym bag, home, office). They last about 6 or 7 months with heavy use (and heavy sweating).They are comfortable and don't fall off when working out. Highly recommend.
